Randall, I've got my brake issues all sorted and I'ill be there along with friend Dan on his bike. Can we meet you at your place to head out to the muster point since we are both close by? If so let me know what time you'd like me there by.

You'll be doubling back a bit, but that's fine with me. I intend to leave here about 8:00 and take the freeway over to Plymouth. I want to arrive early to set up comms.

It won't hit over the 80*Fs until the afternoon. Should be cooler for the BBQ

80's?
Not sure what weather site your looking at but it will be around 93 degrees by noon.
If I'm not suffering I may go on past lunch. But I hate high heat.

Yes, Before noon, it will be cooler. We will only deal with the 90s after noon. But the new forecast is the high of 99*F. YIKES! I think I'll wear my Camelbak! The hottest will be when we stop.

Am I going to have to move the annual Spring Ride back to mid-May?

Go buy a crystal ball before you decide that so you can predict the weather better.
Personally, we will have a dry heat Saturday so not as dramatic as a humid heat.

You mean back to spring when it's cold?

Have a good ride. I got some miles in today and it was still hot wearing an air jacket.

It's pretty warm out here in Wyoming right now too. Still hoping to get to the ride, but don't wait for me. It's going to be a long hard drive home tomorrow.

If you get to the barbecue, I've got a big, shady maple tree waiting for you.

As a warm-up (pun intended) prior to tomorrows Ride just pulled in from a 80 mile ride-temp here was 93 + or - wore just t-shirt-helmet-no windshield Was comfortable riding but warm in helmet when stopped-never broke out in sweat maybe due to my cold-hearted nature. Ride with multiple stops as planned should not be big deal.

I got my mesh pants back from the tailor today. (Nokomis Tailor., Bryan Robert. He likes working on motorcycle gerar.) He shortened the legs so they are going to work much better. Debating on if I should wear the yellow mesh vest over the mostly black mesh Jacket. The lighter color might help, even if it cuts the airflow a little. Maybe I should lower my windshield a little

You don't want to reduce airflow with mesh gear to get the most out of it. The black doesn't add much heat when the air is moving through it so I think you'll be cooler without the mesh vest over the top. Now when you're stopped, that's a different matter and the black will make you warmer.

After ride could hear weather people hyperventilating (see channel 9 Ian Leonard) so went to garage turned on fan & read awhile -got bored then remembered when i lived in St.
Louis this weather lasted about 3 months & life existed so decided about 3 to mow the grass-did 2/3 stopped for 15 min had cold glass of cranberry juice (Nectar of the Gods)
& finished.
