Hi,
I’m trying to get some technical information regarding the jetting specifications for Mikuni MV34 Carbs, which I would like to fit on my 1979 GL500E. Does anyone know the specs for the following;

main jet
pilot jet
needle jet
needle
throttle slide cutaway
main air jet

I know I can buy pre-jetted from Murray’s Carbs but I’m hoping to get them in the UK for around £177 each.

Regards Gordy

I'm pretty sure you don't have a '79 GL500E. If you're reading the number on the engine case, the "E" designates that as an engine serial number. The frame number will be different.
The GL500 (Silverwing) wasn't introduced until 1981, though in some markets the CX500 Standard was called "GL500 Wing." I don't know if that happened as early as 1979.
The CX500E "Eurosport" was introduced about the same time.
Compare your frame serial number to the list on motofaction.org to get a better idea what you have.
Engine number is GL500E 1000552 Frame number is GL500 1004890 but still not sure what year according to motofaction.org I’m pretty sure the engine and frame come from different bikes.
Cheers!
