I've finished rebuilding my brake system and everything is in good shape except the MC dust boot. Is it possible to buy just this part or use a generic alternative?
When I first started the rebuild I planned on buying the MC and reservoir rebuild kits to clean everything up nice. But by the time you buy those kits its cheaper and easier to just replace. Since I already had it apart I went ahead and cleaned it up in the ultrasonic cleaner and it came out nice. Most the pieces were in great shape, just a little dirty. The only parts beyond saving in the whole system where the caliper bleed screw and the MC dust boot. Its all back together and sliding nicely but I would like to put something in the dust boots place to keep everything clean. Any ideas?
