I ride 2 up most of the time, and my girl would like a backrest. Anyone know what I could use for a GL500?

Thanks in advance.

Are those parts of a CX? not sure if they will fit on the GL?

One like the one above about 12 inches would probably suit her well. Weld a crossbar like how he has the vetern label and drill one or two holes there and mount a simple back pad.

That is Awesome! Do you have any tips for trying this? maybe angles, gap width, etc.

I made my own from 1/2" X 1" aluminum flat bar. I plan to make a pad to attach to it.
That is Awesome! Any tips for taking on that project? angles, sizes, etc?

The hardest part will probably be drilling the seats where it attaches to the seat. Besides that I would find a cylinder/pole to wrap the metal around to get a more uniformed rounded bend.
