Thanks Larry, pulling the carbs is the easy part. When I had them apart I pulled those jets and they were clean. I will give it another look though. Could the mixture be off? What about if the black plugs worked their way out?
I know you're looking at fueling issues, but being that 5k rpm is that 'magic point' you might check your low side CDI windings, provided you are CDI equipped.
