many members here also belong to the Aussie site

anyway we can get a separate photo gallery like they have, instead of having to troll through posts on the garage wall??? I think it would be an easier way for everyone to share bikes with each other--maybe even put a vote counter on it too?? my two cents.

There sure is some pretty amazing bikes there. A lot of trikes, including some with two wheels in front. Oh, and don't miss the helicopter.

One thing that people have to remember is if they want the best site ever that it's going to cost some money. On a free site you get one hell of a bargain for what you're seeing.

I'm a member of the Aussie site, the UK site http://www.cx-gl.org.uk/ and Sheps site. If the common language is english i'm there.

I believe the UK site charges $10 a year and I thought the Aussie site charged something but not much for locals. Or maybe that was for another thing. But imagine if this place charge $5 a year. With the current membership we could do anything but that might also complicate things with profits coming in because that puts more people in the line of duty. The UK has 3 people for Membership alone. And that would also mean that Charles would have to be a lot more available to fulfill all the requests for new stuff. Now that sounds like a job.

The UK site charges for full membership if you are in the UK. This gives you access to the club shop. If you are outside of the UK you can only get associate membership as you have no access to the club shop or other perks of full membership.

Associate membership is free.

The Oz site is free unless you choose to be a donating member.

As for the Dutch site, - why won't my google translator translate this? I loaded Dutch with some microsoft updates on the weekend, still won't translate. Bugger.

They're all full of good info if you can access them though.

Oh absolutely, when I say easy peazy im speaking in reference to the ease in which you can find what your looking for. Im in no way assuming that the actual coding or algorithms associated with the layout of the web page or maintenence is easy.

I actually love the way this site is set up, the wealth of information as well as the fact that it even exists speaks volumes to the guys who maintain it...... Im just thinking that we could all benefit from a concise gallery of images--something that more resembles a "garage wall". No harm or disrespect intended.

When necessary, and when asked, plenty of people stepped up to the plate and helped buy a new server etc. when this site had the move.

Truth is, the site owner has little to no interest in CX's or improving the site. No disrespect intended, it's the truth. Took getting bombarded by Spam, Porn and the like to get a couple of moderators on board. There's a general reference, but no FAQ, no graphics or pics to speak of, calendar still isn't turned on, etc. ect. The members make this site, and should a couple bucks in the kitty be needed, a simple "donate" button would cover it, as it does on many other sites on the net.

There is potential for advertising revenue too, but you'd need an interested and vested person at the helm to pursue such avenues.

It's good the way it is, but it could be much better.
