I was in on the last group buy for the Ignitech unit. The bike was experiencing the usual 4-5,000 rpm problems before the unit was installed. After installation, the problem disappeared. There is now great acceleration throughout the rpm range with no hesitation in acceleration as before. If anyone is thinking of what to do next to make your ride better, this is it.
When I bought the bike, it had about 45,000 miles on it and was poorly maintained. I rebuilt the carbs, replaced the front engine gasket to fix a major leak, replaced the throttle cables, the choke cables, put on new coil packs from Asia, new mufflers, and a few other tweaks. With about $1000 in the project, it is very satisfying to resurrect another classic bike.
