I discovered this by accident whilst trying to find a piece of tube to replace the perished bit that was on the bike.
Anyway, a length of tube from a flexible tap connector was just perfect. See last picture. I then thought it would
be nice to have all the wiring looking pretty, (not wrapped in insulation tape....)
I think the pictures are self explanatory.

Flexi connectors are available in lengths of up to 1metre and in different widths and like the Chinese finger puzzle are adjustable.

I hope there is a plastic tube between the wires and the braid. That stuff can wear through anything softer. And on the same subject make sure the outside of it isn't rubbing against anything either - that stuff can cut like a saw blade.
