When you rebuild the carbs, do you remove the turn resticters on the idle mix screws? Hate guessing wrong and then having to remove the carbs just for that. If you remove them, how do you do it? With heat? Or do you just replace them with the ones in the rebuild kit?

I think you can just kind of file out enough room out of that bracket to turn those knobs....been a couple years but I think that's what I saw Blue Fox do when we rebuilt mine.....just make enough room to turn them.

We promise not to tell the EPA on you.

The easiest way I have found is to take the float bowl to a grinding wheel and grind a shallow notch in the flange that prevents the needle from rotating. It doesn't take much and you can dress up the grind if you want to. This also allows the original tab to remain on the needle, which allows for easier adjustment.

I ground mine with a hand file. It's just soft aluminum, so it comes off pretty quickly.

Removed the bowls and ground the tap. While the bowls were removed, thought I would test the acellerator pump. Filled the bowl with water to test. Nothing. Took it appart and found old gas goo in the chanel on the pump body. Took a wire and cleaed it out. Still did not work. Sonic cleaner again. Nothing. Carb cleaner and finally it came out of the center hole. Got rid of the dead spot that I had!
