"Per the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, nearly 80% of reported motorcycle crashes result in injury or death, as compared to 20% for automobiles. In other words, you are 4x more likely to get hurt or killed if you crash on a motorcycle, as opposed to in a car."
(bold/underline is mine)
So the key is to Not report it?
I feel that reported accidents on motorcycles are those that have less than damage then the bike is worth(insurance claim), involve other vehicles, or a rider injury requiring hospitalization.
If you count an accident as any get down on a bike while moving, that also damage the bike in a way it is hard to ride after and/or injure the ride in some way, I am already dead(or hospitalized) 3 times over by statistics. and so is 5 of my close friends. yet None of use have been by our motorcycle accidents.
I think that Most motorcycle accidents do Not get reported.
That said, i completely agree with the statements made by the articale
