Two questions.

1. Do you and your spouse/mate both ride bikes?

2. If you answered yes to question 1, do you both ride CXs/GLs?

Please feel free to add topic appropriate comments. Thanks.

My answers

1. Yes we do.

2. Yes, we both ride GLs.

Can non-married couples play?

If so.

1. Yes

2. Yes, I'm on the front and she's on the back.

At her size and weight anything beyond a dirt bike under 100cc is to much.

She's 4 foot 11 inches and about 110lbs.

Ditto to what Don said...except the 110lbs part.... and no, I'm not gonna say.

but mostly we ride the DN-01 and keep the CX for Rally's and Ride days.

Yes, and No.

Milady rides a LS650 right now.

I doubt I can get her sold on a CX or GL.

She likes the cruisers and is very particular about how a bike Looks.

1) Yes

2) When we ride together, she's on the CX, I'm on my '99 Concours.

She doesn't ride all that much, and I ride every day when there's not snow on the ground. In the warm months, I split my time between the two bikes. When it's raining or when it gets cold, I stick to the Connie.

1. Yes

2. When we ride together I am on the Valkyrie, she will either be on the back or riding the 750 Shadow ACE. Depends on her mood...

1.Yes we both ride

2. She rides solo on a Honda CRF230L & two up with me

on the Vstrom. Right now she does not ride solo on

anything else until comfortable on the CRF on & off

pavement. Lowered the CRF to 29.5" and total

bike weight is 270 pounds. My CX is set up

for solo and too tall for her.

My bad, I have been married for so long I always think of couples as being married.

I have edited the question to be more inclusive. Sorry about that, I did not intend to leave anyone out.

That's great. My wife started riding last year and we had a great time together. She loves to ride. Last year we road almost every day that weather permitted. We didn't really take any long rides, mostly 150 miles or less round trip. This year we are planning to take some longer rides.

Not yet, this reminds me of a couple I used to know who each had a brand new 1976 limited edition GL1000 and rode on a few of the same long-distance tours that I did. She rode just fine but was too small to get on and off easily, so whenever they came to a stop he'd get off first and then go over to help her. Seemed to work pretty well but I don't know what would have happened if they got separated ;-)

My wife's ex- scared her with some dumb crap on his bike years ago so I'm slowly getting her acclimated to normal riding on my Aspencade.

Yes,

I ride my trusted "Bessie" 79 CX 500 Deluxe, now more of a show bike.....

"Scruffy" my 82 GL 500i, for work and pleasure............

"Cody" my latest addition to the stable 01 ST1100, for touring.......

My partner Chris LOVES her 78 185 Twinstar, the weekend warrior girl...

Even though she moved up to a 78 VT500 Shadow, she still prefers her 185 ....

All The Best.........Keith.........

For me it would be:

1: Not so much during the last few years. Earlier it happened quite often. She seems to be more hesitant to ride with age - more liking the passenger role lately. We´re OAP:s, both of us.

2: Until now, mostly yes. I bought and tidied up a CB 400 N for her. It´s lighter and also easier to handle. Hopefully she´ll feel more comfortable with that one. Otherwise it´ll be the passenger "sofa" for good.

Here just before take-off from a friend´s place. Summer 2006, on our way to Åland, the archipelago between Sweden and Finland.

I love them upside-down Clubmans. Me on the red one.

No, although we've tossed around the idea of getting another bike- if we get another one, it won't be my pick, since I have mine already so it'll probably be something much newer and more expensive.. lol

Ah well, I like my GL500 anyway- and I don't forsee the passenger seat being used ever LOL
