Matt @ TAS has agreed to giving the forum members discounts on some items and free shipping on small items so long as you do one of two things:

You have to ask him if what you're ordering qualifies for either and you've got to mention either:

1) Marshall referred me and said you might have a discount or free shipping

2) Mention that you read about them on the CX500 / Chopper Charles forum and it was mentioned that you might have a discount or free shipping for the members.

This does not apply to anything you order from them off eBay, it's only if you call them directly: 260-563-6937

Open Monday Through Friday 10am to 6pm (I believe it's Eastern Time)

9am Til 2pm on Saturday

They intend to have a new, more comprehensive website sometime in the future.

They are also working hard to expand their stock of CX/GL parts for us.

Usually if they don't have something in stock they will search around for you.

Would almost be quicker to ask what products we could get a discount on.

They are already great on price and shipping.

The problem is they don't have the manpower to make up a proper website or to keep it updated, they're really just a family operating out of their house and garages. Neither the website nor eBay will show anywhere near what they have in stock, that's why you really need to call them in person.

Most common would be oil and air filters, any of the seals except for the mechanical seal, turn signal lenses, levers, cables and they also have a lot of both common and oddball, often hard to find parts. Very friendly people that are knowledgeable about our bikes since some have owned one.

They will also go out of their way as far as customer service goes and don't rip people off on shipping, it's either free or low cost USPS on most items. The only caveat is that you really have to call them in person to get the discount and for them to check inventory since they don't post it anywhere. Their current website and eBay listings are just a few selected items that are most popular.

Part of the reason they can offer us the discount &/or free shipping if you call is that you;re not going through eBay so they don't have to pay to place ads, they also take credit cards directly over the phone and that aves them th PayPal fees which aren't cheap.

For example, on those 7V regulator kits I've been selling ($6 for one, $9 for two) this is what PayPal takes out of the payment:

$6 sale - PayPal takes 0.47

$9 sale - PayPal takes 0.56

Excellent thanks for the info.

Also a quick tip about paypal. Since you're not going through ebay there is no record of WHY you are receiving money. If the person sending you money chooses the "personal" category and then one of the 5 or so subcategories that say things like rent, money owed, gift, etc...neither one of you will get charged paypal fees
