Help me identify this Engine/crash bar.
Mine has a bolt stud measuring 10mm by 80mm long. There is no damage from these guards but you have to remove the shroud if your stud unscrews from other end or it will not clear that shroud. The guard on my CX was mounted to that same bolt and the PO stripped it so it is just sitting in there flopping. These motors are over-sized so one or two bolts missing will not even be noticed.yup that is the same bar I have.... is your left side radiator shroud cut up from the guard? also what size are the upper engine mount bolts... I am going to have to cut mine off to replace them.. one of the PO's didn't tighten the bolts down and now they are bent... and very loose.. not even sure how the engine is staying in the frame.
The black plastic shroud on the Standard covers more of the side of the radiator than the later metal style, including the engine hanger bolts. It's not an issue on your GL.I do not see how shroud could be damaged by guard.
