GL650, non-Interstate. CX650C might work, if the forks are the same diameter.

I think the naked GLs have a light subframe for the headlight that attaches to the front of the triples. Would the CX650C brackets fit if the wiring box were removed from the forks?

Since Motormike is using GL650I front forks it would make sense to look for a GL650 set up rather than for the CX650C. I would expect that the GL parts would be easier to find. Another point in favour of the GL parts is that the headlight for the Custom is an odd size and hard to find.

The naked GL650 isn't all that common, either. But since the GL mount is independent of fork size, I wonder if a GL500 mount would fit the 650 triple.

Thanks, fellas, for your input.... the 500 ears are on the bike but are shorter... they " work "... and I'll keep looking I for the front end off craigslist as a rolling parts bike... I'm sure another will pop up. I got the steering stops addressed ... hauled it hope to get the headlight and wiring squared away.
