Not to hijack the thread, but I've often thought about fabbing up some sort of mount for my golf bag... a vertical piece of tube steel with a round base and a strap:

It would mount somewhere on the side like a saddlebag... Perhaps you could do something similar with a different base for the guitar case, or multiple straps...

Here's a decent shot of the front. I 90'd into the plastic and ran a pipe across. It's a big square of pipes around and through the trunk. You can also see the saddle bend in the top pipe to allow the bracket to fit past it into the bottom pipe T.

You can see the two "T's", on on top rear and one on the front bottom pipe. I wanted to split up the load. The instrument racks slide right into those T's so I can take them out when not in use.

Here's a good close up of when I first built it. That gauge also just slides into the T. I made a couple like that just to fill the holes. If you do 2 pipes like mine make sure you saddle the top so the bracket can get past it =)

All these pics I got and none fully loaded. I'll try to get some this weekend when I load up to go to Ojai.

BTW. I think the wood prints on your bike are great. They are so American. They remind me of those big fuel-consuming seventies stationwagons with the wood prints on the sides (Chevy's or so? I couldn't tell you). You hardly see them around here.



BTW2: I read you're from San Diego. Funny I never saw you ride, because I passed San Diego once when I was on vacation in the USA, heading for Tijuana
