Today my wife and I were at Wal-Mart and she found 11 quarts of 10W40 on clearance for $1.00 ea. It's an off brand by the name of Accel. It's API category SF so it should be fine for the bikes. Also found some Valvoline Dex/Merc trans fluid for $2.00 a quart. I'm going to try it for fork oil and see how it works. At that price I really can't go wrong. If it doesn't work out, I'm only out a couple of bucks.

good score. I bought a bunch of oil at a garage sale a few years back for $1.00/quart and just used the last quart last weekend. Need to find another deal now...
