I was just wondering if anyone knows the temp rating on the sensor that turns on the fan of a GL650

On mine,it's pretty hot. The temp gauge is very close to the red line when the fan comes on, and the fan doesn't stay on for very long. I added a bypass switch to turn the fan on manually when in hot stop & go traffic. The bike may not need it, but it helps my peace of mind.

Mine is 3/4 or a little more on the temp gauge before the fan turns on. I want to install either a cooler thermostat or a cooler sensor. And I have been told how but haqven't done it yet.

Everyone of the 4 GL650Is that I owned had the fan turn on about 1 line away from the red zone.



None of them were ever damaged from overheating.
