Hey, i took the bike out for a spin yesterday, in the process i was going down my road and the bike turned off. i had no lights and no dash lights either. i replaced the battery cable last week casue it was shot. any ideas of what could have happend?? it was running really good untill it all of a suddon turned off.

Have you checked the main fuse next to the battery?

I'd be highly suspicious of the new cable; specifically the connections. Make sure that they are clean and tight. While you are at it, check the other cable as well.

i have not checked the main fuse yet but last year i replaced it with an ATC blade fuse and fuseholder but have not checked the fuse inside the fuseholder yet. maybe i will do that as well as recheck the battery cables tonight and see what happens.
