Hello,

I am looking for help/advice with replacing the oil in the front forks of my 1983 Honda GL650. I have the right oil and a drip pan, but I cannot get the top bolts off of the forks. They are on there very tightly and are a weird shape, due to the valve for the air hose. Has anyone replaced the oil in the forks with similar bolts to those pictured here? I would greatly appreciate any help or advice. Thanks!

your forks are to low in the triple tree and are jambed by the lock bolt

the forks need to come up by almost 1/4 inch

but if you loosen the lock bolt the chrome 10mm head bolt that goes across the triple tree the cap should come off
