Working on a set of GL forks. Is there a trick to install the top slider bushing? Im stumped!

I just expanded it with my fingers. I'm assuming you mean the bush on the chrome tube.

You could try a set of expending circlip pliers.

Never mind
Used a modified pc of PVC pipe to press in the first one. Fork reassembled and starting on 2nd fork

I've found PVC pipe to be very valuable for seal and bushing installation in several systems. Many different diameters available, easy to cut, sturdy for pressure or low impact. Kool tools!

Got both sides done and back on the boy's bike while he was in class. Going to wait on him to reassemble the rest of the front end. Brakes look good.
I finally broke down and got a (decent) used bench vice and bolted down. I cant believe I have wait this long to buy such useful tool.
