Good evening everyone.
I disassembled the front caliper and its missing the spring pad. It’s the single piston style. Should I buy a used caliper since this part is discontinued? Does anyone have one I could buy? Is anyone riding without it?

Ok everyone, I have talked to a few motorcycle shops around here. They are all on the same page about this part. You don’t need it. It’s an anti rattle spring. It will not effect the safety of the bike. You may here the pads rattle at lower speeds.

There’s another piece that my calipers were missing, the shim A pad. I found a dealer who had one. They also said that its not the end of the world to ride without it either. Others on here have talked about making it from tin. The shop suggested putting a strip of duct tape on the back of the pad if you done have it.
