fork drain bolt,

well crap. i got the drain bolt off on the right side just fine. but the bolt on the left just spins in place. i also can hear the spring moving around inside the housing when i turn the bolt. even tighting it just spins. the alen head is not damaged so the 6mm alen tool still works. any idea's?

...refill to correct amount(135 CC in my 1980 Cx500A type).
According to the FSM, it should be 135cc to 140cc in the '78, as well.



Use 20wt fork oil, rather than the stock ATF. It will firm up the front end a little.

its ok, i didnt think of pulling down on the forks to make sure that they where fully extended. so if i just take the fork off and dump the fluid from the top that would work?
But now that you've been spinning it around, you've deformed the crush washer, and it will probably leak. You'll need to get that bolt out, anneal or replace the washer, and reassemble.
