As many of you recall from the old forum my house was flooded last September. I had a running log about bringing my bike back from sitting under 7' of water for 2 days. I am happy to announce that as of last Saturday slightly more than a year after the flood my bike is back in tip top shape. It took a lot of time and a bit of $$$, but she is back. Here is a small tally of what was used/replaced:
Stripped to frame and all frame/suspension components painted, suspension greased, new fork seals and fluid, new all balls stem bearings, new wheel bearings, new clutch, several oil changes, new rear oil seal, new exhaust seals, new bulbs all around, 2 gallons pine sol, 2 gallons purple power, several cans of brake parts cleaner, electric contact cleaner, WD40, lots of weekends in the garage, when time allowed.
Just wanted to give a thanks to all those who helped out either physically or mentally this past year. Not sure I would have finished without this site.
