Hello everyone,



I'm a new member here from NW Ohio. I'm looking at getting a CX 500 Custom, it will be my first Honda CX(I own a 1980 Suzuki GS550). I want to build a cafe racer but don't know if the CX 500 Custom is the best to start with. I like the tank of the older CX's but I'm curious if the tank would work with the frame of the Custom. Or if the frame of the Custom would work nicely as a cafe racer frame.



I hope this hasn't been talked about a lot and I just didn't see it. Thanks for your time and help.

The standard and deluxe tanks will work on a custom frame with slight modification.

Welcome aboard. Quite a few folks here have done Cafe's out of these bikes, although I am not sure how many started with a Custom. You could use the search function and put in Cafe and probably see many topics related. Here is one example
