So what do you think of my rattle can paint job? Bike is mostly mechanically sound and rideable now after about 6 months of work, just a few small things here and there yet to finish. This would be the wife's new cruiser to get her feet in the water.

The 'blinker stalks' on the back would indicate that the bike had saddlebags. Do you have those? And is that an old Windjammer fairing?

Pretty interesting blue.

Almost exactly the color of blue I'm painting mine - GM Medium Gulf Blue Metallic Effect.

Almost a perfect metalflake blue with a small amount of pearl that doesn't lean to the red side at all.

Learn something new every day... It has the vetter emblem on it, it's only the second one I've seen with a square headlight. Somebody once told me the model of the fairing, but I have since forgotten.

That my friend is the Vetter Quicksilver fairing.

I`ve got one (with cut down screen) on the CX-Periment;

Yours seems to have some sort of deflector to the side of the screen?

Was that home-made?

Actually those deflectors look like they were made for that fairing as an option, but I could always be wrong. Thats quite a motorcycle you got there, I'd be curious to see more pictures of that.

I have to admit that I am impressed with the engineering involved in the construction of this bike. It appears so comfortable that I am afraid I just might fall asleep. BillRod
