I know the gaskets can be bought from bike bandit, service honda, and places like that. But can anyone point me in the direction of a cheaper set?



They seem awfully expensive.



Or are their any alternatives to the gaskets?

Muffler tape, foil, I believe there's some sort of mold-able material.

Like Don said, there are many alternatives. If you're careful you can also use permetex high temp gasket-goo. It works really well but the reason I say "if you're careful" is because it is a bright orange color so if you get it on the outside of your exhaust it looks like crapple.

Following Shep's example, I've used good quality foil tape with excellent results. Trim it to roughly the same length as stock gaskets and wrap it extra thick so it can compress when you tighten the collars. Relatively cheap and useful stuff in other regards as well.
