Way back in 1971 there was that brand new Honda 750 Four. Owned it for 14 weeks and put over 20,000 miles on it.
Then a few other non-Hondas over the years and then back to a Honda Valkyrie, exotic sounding flat six.
Always a single bike in the "stable".
Fast forward to last fall - that mint condition '98 VTR1000 called to me. It played beautiful music! Instant love.
Then all of a sudden this GL500 showed up in the garage. Where'd that come from? Are these things multiplying? Very interesting project. Its parts now litter the garage floor, the bar in the basement of the house, and just about everywhere else you look.
After spending countless hours watching CL for a CX to play with also, up pops an ad for this little VTR250. WTF? Now it's sitting in the garage too! Well, actually, after about 4 hours, its parts are now littered among the GL500 parts all over the place.
Sorry honey, you will have to park outside for the next 6 months.
With all these parts intermingling, I'm afraid to think what might happen next - it feels like they are having sex.
They really are multiplying. What next?
Then late last night while getting the carbs off the little baby twin, I distinctly heard a whisper from a dark corner that sounded something like "Ascot".
C'mon guys - y'all knew about this, didn't you - and nobody warned me.
Thanks!
