Recently purchased from original owner & disappointed as it is not as he described being absolutely mint & perfect. I'm a collector of investment grade cars & motorcycles not a restorer as many of you here are. Take a look & send me an e-mail or PM if you have an interest. Mechanically, the bike is perfect & the cosmetic flaws that do exist are easily touched up, polished to make as new with a little know how & elbow grease. I would rate this bike an 8 out of 10 cosmetically & 9.5 out of 10 mechanically. Everything works without issue. I can arrange inspection if there's any interest. I live in Southeast WI 1/2 south of Milwaukee or 1 hour north of Chicago. Cell # 262-206-8826.

I would take this original one owner bike over a "restored" bike from the guys out in California any day. Just my .02

Thanks guys for your feedback. Have located a new 1.9 mi. leftover CX500TC from a dealership here in WI that has been on their floor since new & never ridden. Needle in a haystack but this is what I call "collector / investment" grade & it will be stored away as an heirloom someday for my son. May just touch up the CX650TD & keep it as a rider. Yes, I'm very picky & leary of any restorations from CA or school bikes. Appreciate the comments & I'll post pics of the new bike soon.

Several are up right now, wonder if it might be best to wait until there aren't so many up? Or maybe the competition is a good thing? I would think listing it after a dry spell of them might attract more attention and bring a decent price as opposed to when there are several listed, but that's just my .02

Edit - just saw your listing. Good luck with the sale. I see that you reduced your prices as well - someone could buy this bike for right around a dollar a mile.

You're probably right but I love competition & IF that CA bike is legit (school bike or restored ?) & original w/ documentation back to the dealership, my bike is still fairly priced & #2 on the rankings chart.

Your bike is cosmetically (and most likely) in much nicer mechanical shape than mine...I hope that it can find a good home, unfortunately it can't be at my place as much I would love to have an original owner 650T.
Didn't you say that this bike was just in for some touch up restoration work too?

My bike has not been touched since it arrived from the original owner in MA except to ride it over to the shop to quote potential restoration if it doesn't sell. It still appears exactly as shown in the e-Bay ad. Runs great & rides like a dream just not wanting to put any more $ into it as I already paid $2500 too much to begin with.
