I've just acquired a cherry CX650C with only 1,827 original miles. Absolutely perfect. I need to acquire/fabricate a padded sissy bar with luggage platform/shelf. It appears I can leave the stock brackets, remove the existing handle from the brackets, remove the little plastic keyed document compartment and install an assembly directly to the brackets as long as the center line on the posts lines up, the posts are reasonably close to the stock post diameter and the mounting holes in the posts line up with the bolt holes inside the brackets. Anybody try this approach? What did you find that works and where do I obtain it? The sissy bar itself can be short or tall, must have a pad and shelf as this is primarily for luggage. It must be robust and chrome. Thanks!
