Hey guys, the CX650 has been a great starter bike but it's time to move on. Been sitting in my garage covered the last 2 years and needs to find a new home. 36k and runs like a top. I removed the choke cable last summer as it frayed and broke (common problem). Spent a lot of time trying to hunt down a replacement and could not find one. I recently discovered the CX500 choke cable works on the CX650, but I have not got the time to fuss with it anymore (four motorcycles and more projects than I have time for). The ONLY things it needs is that choke cable reinstalled and a new front turn signal stalk (4yr old son snapped it).
The Good
* Mechanically sound, runs and shift great. ONLY thing it needs is a replacement choke cable installed and new turn signal stalk
* Complete (bike has all parts including sought after right / left covers, fuse cover, handlebar weights)
* Good AGM battery maintained on trickle charger
* Extra Parts: Spare set of cleaned carbs, coil packs & wires, oil filters, oil filter adapter, Windshield, saddlebags & fork bag, cover, 4 new raised tank stickers, Printed Honda Service Manual
* Seat leather is intact and in good shape (no tears, cracks, etc)
* Clean Title in hand
* Has not been laid down
* Stored in climate control garage
The Bad:
Currently not running, you will need to trailer it home. seat, fuel tank, battery, side cover, headlight, and choke cable removed sitting next to the bike in my garage
Needs Choke cable and turn signal stalk to return to road use)
Tires at roughly 50% tread
Less than $50 in parts for a new choke cable and turn signal stalk, some fresh gas and a oil change, and a couple hours of light duty wrench time and it's good to go. All other maintenance is current.
