I’ve started the rebuild of my 650 turbo and am a little confused about the swinging arm bearings. When I took it apart the oil seal was not pressed into the swinging arm - the bearings themselves were flush with the arm so the oil seals just sat outside the arm itself. My 500 turbo manual says this is wrong and the bearings should be further into the arm with the oil seals flush. Is the 650 different to the 500 or was just just wrong initially on mine?
Also trying to remove the outer race but it’s a blind hole and very little clearance. Any suggestions on a tool that would work as I can’t get behind it with my normal 3 legged bearing puller. If anyone knows of a 650 workshop manual for download I would appreciate it.
