Hi all,

I saw this post on the australiancx :
CX650 big-end bearings
It seems like those guys found an almost perfect solution for our connecting rods bearing. It only needs a minor modification on the conn rod to fit (trimming 1mm from the bearing locating groove).

The thread is quite old, does someone here has try it?

Thanks

well thank you! have you used the table from the cx shop manual or the vrt1000? the VRT seems to recommend a smaller gap.

my crankpin is on the low side (42.970mm) which is lower than the VRT table (stop at 42.986mm), but it doesn't show any wear and my bearing colors fit the table once I measure the conn rod, seems like it was like that since it was new.

but if I check the actual bearing thickness of the vrt, I've found that the thickest bearing is just perfect.

I have a brown and a green bearing and from my measurement they are the one I still need. In theory, I could use 2 blue.
