Does anyone in the States sell coils that will adapt to a '81 CX500C?

Ignitech seems to have some but we would rather not have to deal with Euro's, shipping, customs fees etc.

Also would prefer not to use EBAY for used parts.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks.

I have used with great success, new coils off ebay. From the far east and advertised for 250cc atv or quad bike.

They are very cheap and I have a set running on my custom for over a year. you do have to make a little extension plate to secure them but I do recommend them.

Have a look at this item number. 120593670584

Why not just buy new coils from ServiceHonda? I haven't installed mine yet but they're new; should work just great (mostly from the solid copper wiring).
And how much did you pay?

BikeBandit doesn't have them but if they did they would cost $150 a pair.

Are they the "real deal" as in the origial OEM Honda part? AFAIK the OEM coils were NLA in the Honda supply chain long ago. I picked up a NOS one on Fleabay (left), might be worth it to get a new right too. 30+ years and the originals are still working great, worth it if they're the same quality.

Woah. I just checked the ServiceHonda site and they show the Ignition Coils as discontinued.... weird....

I think I was lucky enough to buy new ones before they sold out...forever.... heh.

I've been going through a buying phase. I keep seeing parts becoming discontinued and worry about what will happen when the ones I have start failing... ugh... I just spent $210 on new parts from ServiceHonda; should get the package Aug 24.
