Where can one get a set of main bearings for the CX or is there an alternative part one can use?

a reputable engine rebuilder will be able to supply you the bearings you need , even if they have to modify some from another vehicle. Its what they do for a living , so my first port of call would be to the engine rebuilder with the best reputation in your area.
