CX 500 Turbo - misfiring when the engine is in full booster.

Hi Guys,
I have a 1982 CX 500 turbo with 6000 original miles and it was running perfect but last month it had a kinda backfire and now it starts to misfire or cutting off when the engine gets very close to full booster. The turbo is working fine and the motorcycle has normal acceleration and performance until gets close to the full booster.
I checked for any connections lose, any vacuo leaks, but everything is fine.
I checked the electronic computer but does not have any led on. All off and fine.
It has new battery, new spark plugs with correct gaps, no oil leaks, no corrosion in any ground.
I use just 92 ethanol free gasoline available from a gas station close to my place in Houston.
Everything works perfect. It start fine, drives fine but I can get close to full booster.
What could it be?

Sounds to me a fuel starvation problem. So a bad fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter
Make sure the dump valve on the turbo is staying closed. I had the problem where the valve would open and then not close completely. Put a zip tie on it JUST TO TRY. If you go over 19 pounds boost then the computer will close it down.
Hi
I'm with Pim on the fuel pressure
hook up a pressure gauge to the fuel rail on the rh side
take the bike out and see what the pressure is

I think you are right. The fuel filter is brand new but I had the fuel shutoff valve rebuilt because was leaking. Maybe the valve is not letting pass enough fuel from the tank to the pump. I will check that later and come back to you with the result.
I sent my injectors to Deatshwerks for flow testing / cleaning if necessary, for not much cost.
Worth it to me to have actually data, and know they flow at spec.

When this happens, do not shut off the bike, Stop, and open the seat, slide out the ECU a little or use a mirror and see if you can read a fault code. Refer to the manual on how to do this and for an explanation of what the fault code means.

You might need to have a spare key with you, and a wrench to remove the seat bolt and one of those little mirrors you can put down in to read the code. Practice at home before you do the ride.
Hi
i have a question.my bike is misfire on the right side. i have new plugs, replace coil, as i order one second hand from Germany and still do the same. the injectors removed and clean. any idea. i just was looking on some forums, they talk about the spark control module. could be this.
Welcome!
Which variant do you have? There are a couple different ignition systems.

AFAIK all the CX turbos were fuel injected and had TI systems. Mind you the OP's bike could be something other than a CX/GL.
Hoping to verify he's got a Turbo, and is posting in the correct section.
