Hi I know this has probably been covered so many times, but I have a 1979 cx 500 was starting and running, and this morning started it and only ran on 1 cylinder and then stopped sparking on both cylinders altogether,I've done a starter test, they are all in spec, the 2 wires going to the coils are still putting out a bit of power as getting a slight shock from them while crancking over the bike, but no power going to plugs whatsoever, so just wondering are the coils finished altogether as I tried testing them with meter but didnt have much luck or could I still have cdi trouble?

Check resistance through the plug caps. Should be about 5 ohms.
You might be getting a shock because the spark impulse can't pass through the corroded cap and is looking for ground.
