Coming up with a reasonable value is subjective and depends on a lot of things even if it's in good runnng shape. I'd start by getting pix and posting them if you can, you might be able to pick yourself up one heck of a deal on a really nice bike.
If there's any way they'll let you "go over" the bike print off the CX Checklist" that's in one of the sticky threads above. Mech seal isn't too bad but if the stator isn't charging the battery that runs into some $$
