Hello all, I fancy putting clocks from a custom on my 79Z . Has anyone done this mod.

Any advice much appreciated.

Well that's just funny to read but I think I know what you're saying.



If you have the whole gauged assembly then the holes are there to bolt it right up. But may require modification.

Probably sounded a bit english. I meant speedo, tacho, idiot lights and headlamp. Just one thing is the custom temp gauge 6 or 12 volt ?

The temp guage is 7v, thus the regulator in the black rubber under the Tach.

The gauges will mount right up to the triple tree holes. Both bikes use the same tree.

The difference that you will have to work on is the wiring harness that plugs into the main harness. The plastic plugs are a different size as well as having different type of wire ends in them. You could cut and splice the ends to match up the correct plug. I would soldier them and use shrink wrap to protect them from the water. It should be pretty simple.
