Should this be double nutted at the top? or should there be a nut on either side of the casing?

I'm pretty sure that's right, I put it that way and make sure that the top nut locks the bottom nut in place... Never had an issue doing it that way, and I believe that the last bike I rode also had it that way... Can't 100% guarantee it's right, but I'd say about 95% sure...

That's how my original one was and how I did my new clutch cable....works fine.



Ya need to do some cleaning and polishing down there too.

Cleaning, Polishing...Noted! One step at a time...right now I am going for functionality so I can have her mechanically sound and ready...then the TLC can begin at my liesure!!

Definately take care of the mechanicals first


I mean if you're voulunteerin to help in the area of polishin, I won't turn ya down!! haha! no harm...If my bike could be 1/10th as clean as yours... how's the weather down there?

Rickbert rides a flashing silver bullet don't-ya-know. Sunglasses are a requirement! And I'm jealous. I wish mine would sparkle and shine like his.
