I have a 1981 CX500 hooked to a Ural side car. The clutch cover is broken where the clutch cable

attaches. The part small ear where you can adjust the cable. I want to buy a used one on Ebay. Do all year cx500s fit? Thanks Ken

At 14 thou the clutch is probably Ok so unless its struggling I'd leave it alone

Its better to drop the oil before removing the cover and unless its new, clean

and expensive I'd change it.

You have a 50-50 chance of tearing the gasket when you take the cover off so

be ready to replace it.

I make my own and if your allowed to play with sharp things you could too

but I'd guess a Honda dealer may have them?

When the cover comes off theres a 'thing' in the middle that the lever pushes against

the release bearing.

It easy to see and easy to drop on the deck, so take note and dont lose it.

Simple job really, dont overtighten the screws and make sure that when you

refit the clutch cable its held away from the exhaust downpipe or you;ll be buying new one soon

before ebay, there might be one or two floating around other peoples garages/work spaces on this site. doesn't hurt to post a 'wanted ad' in the buying/selling forum.

That's not the clutch cover. It's the front engine cover. (I have one broken in the same spot.)

A replacement from any CX500 or GL500 will be identical.
