I've been looking for a thread describing the procedure to check the Stator on a non-running CX500's and GL500's (if they are diffrent). Any help would be appreciated. Also if there is a procedure for checking the stator on a CX or GL that is running.

The writeup does not include tests for the CDI ignition windings that are applicable to 1981 and earlier CX's. For that, use this diagram:
