Not a poll, just a question of interest.

Seems to be more and more of these charity rides for causes of need.

Not being a group rider, but considering maybe participating because of the good done by many of these rides.

Seems to be many worthy rides (toy runs for kids, prostate/breast cancer, and many more)

So have you experienced a charity ride and what is your opinion of them?

Regards,

Rick

I don't attend them because the money or toys is better given to the group first hand. And then I don't have to worry about the guy in front of me who has been riding all his life and the guy behind me who rides every weekend this summer.

The only totally organized ride I have ever seen was by Thin Blue Line of Michigan. They are a bunch of motorcycle police officers and have the experience I like to see. They did invite me to join them as I was documenting it. Before the ride there was a 30 minute session that explained how they were going to ride and what to do if someone has mechanical problems. It was very detailed.
