If you feel like really PUNISHING yourself.........SURE, I'd imagine it COULD be done....But, I thinks you wouldn't be too long into the project afore you realize that it would be a whole lot easier to take 'em off.

It can be done, but if you working on a set of carbs with an accelerator pump it's going to be tough to get the bowl back on without pushing the rubber bellows out when you put the accelerator pump back in.

I use a swivel socket and a 1/4" socket to put a Phillips tip in to make it easier to get all the bowl screws out.

It can be done if the carbs have been apart within the past few years. If not it's a pain.
