I would be very concerned about a frame modification that changes where the pivot for the stand is. Can you please post some pics that show what he changed?

It looks to me like the changes involved a custom built subframe with lower shock mounts. I assume he fitted a Standard center stand to accommodate the higher stance, but it wasn't enough.
I'd still take a careful look at the welds.

That number is 415. For originating cycle we look at the middle sequence.

The first sequence says what the part is, the second what bike it is originally from and the last often to who made it and sometimes the colour.

Yep...i misinterpreted earlier discussion...custom general export 1980 shows the same part number...as per post #14...
Maybe a mistake on cmsnl part....maybe a supercession...??.

Again NOT debating what u have observed/know in di.ensiom differnces..
