Had a similar problem with a chain driven bike....a little bit of (welded) flat bar maybe even 5mm to the feet could solve it..you can always place some wood /metal of known thickness under the centre stand to see how much more metal is needed...
Even as a temp measure til you source another...

Are both tyres std size??

Maybe some part lists like cmsnl show "compatible"parts??....rather than the inital part no... ??
Early std centre stands do come up as "505" on cmsnl..but didnt go thu all the years....

The 505 is stand "complete" maybe a part number associated with extra bits??...

Yep...i misinterpreted earlier discussion...custom general export 1980 shows the same part number...as per post #14...
Maybe a mistake on cmsnl part....maybe a supercession...??.

Again NOT debating what u have observed/know in di.ensiom differnces..
