A quick question... Is there any problem mounting the Rectifier and the starter switch close to the CDI unit? My bike is an '81 if that makes any differance. I am moving things around a bit and want to know if one will interfere with the other if they are mounted right next to each other.

I am not sure if there would be a negative effect in doing what you suggest.



I do know that the reg/rectifier does get hot and may not cool as well under the seat as where it is now, and may not be optimal to be near the CDI.

Thanks.I plan on mounting the rectifier under the seat where the top of the (now removed)airbox was. It will be exposed so it shouldn't get any hotter, and there will still be that stock metal mounting bracket between them. I just wanted to make sure it won't cause any problems before I go through mounting it all up.

Ditto to what Allen says.The Regulator/Rectifier does need a good airflow around it so if you do move it bear that in mind and keep an eye on things.
