does anyone know if there is a difference fron the cdi's that read

"TIA02-14" and the once that read "TIA12-04"? I have one that someone

needs but they are asking if it reads the 12-04 and mine reads the 02-14.

he says his bike is a 79 cx500 and that is what mine is as well. i didnt

think it mattered as long as the connections were the same. any thoughts??

Short answer:

They're all interchangeable, ignore the numbers



Longer answer:

I've taken a few apart and stripped them down to the PCB

later ones had board mods which may account for the

different numbers.

Its been a while and I cant recall what the mods were now

but ultimately, see short answer.
