OK, so I couldn't pass this one up. I now have a pretty nice set of forks, triples, etc to meld to my cafe project (which is just about to really begin now that the bike is rideable). I'm hoping some of you might have done this already or could give me some things to look for/think about as the process starts. I'm thinking sometime in November I'll post a "project thread". I know the bike is junk, but the only parts I really needed was the front. Actually, there are some other parts worth recycling, I'm just not sure they are good for the CX. Anyone to buy a 91 F2 rear wheel?

I think the front looks solid. From what I've read these are 41 mm forks. Not crazy about mixing wheels but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Can tou think of any other useful parts off of this thing? Maybe the shock for someone on here?

Nice find. Mind if I ask how much it set you back?
Not at all. I bargained down to $100 as I only wanted the front. Turns out the seller decided it was worth it not to do the tear down or wait for a buyer. I'm hoping to sell or scrap the rest $50. That would make a $50 complete front end. Not a bad day.

I'd bet the taillight would look cool in a cafe seat? The foot controls would be a pretty nice upgrade too. The radiator fan might work to elminate the mechanical CX fan? You could part it out on the bay an make a lot more than $50. Sell "D" the exhaust can.

Cheers, 50gary

Sorry Phil, it is already spoken for, , , by me!
That was the first thing I took off and tried. Near direct fit too!

FYI, the purchase came with another stem, not sure what it is, maybe another CBR? After I get to dismantling this thing, if I don't need it and you could use it I'll ship it out.

Gary, excellent idea on the fan. I haven't played around enough to read up on the fan other than the thread titles really.

Jason, yeah, I wasn't really ready to purchase the front end yet, but thought this offer was pretty good.
