Hey everyone.



Just got a 1980 CX500 Custom today and am looking for a good source for a carb rebuild kits for it. I've had some luck online finding a couple places (Carb Kit capital and Murph's Kits) for 78-79 CX500's but nothing specific for an 80. Would the 78-79 kit work?



Any insight you guys can give is greatly appreciated.

The 78-79 and 80-on kits are slightly different. The ball on the air cutoffs is extended further on one.

A good place to get a whole kit would be.

But the website says they are on vacation at the moment.

Thanks for the quick responses Blindstitch. I saw the Randakks website during my search but since their vacation goes through mid August I didn't include it as an option above.



Do you (or anyone else reading this) know if the ball's different lengths on the air cutoff valves are the only difference? If that is the case I can get a 1980-specific air cut-off diaphragm set for the rebuild.
