Guys, is there a standard jet size that was shipped in the 650's ?

The small secondary jet is a 78. The larger main can be a 118 or a 122. I have seen both sizes in them. But also they use different # needles too depending on the jet they want to run. I haven't taken the time to map out the different combination's in them yet. I should do that when I get back to doing carbs again.

The reason why I asked is that my bike just does not seem quite right. The headers are turning yellowish like. I think the bike came from NC (I live in IN) and I figured that it was with stock jets but now I'm beginning to wonder.

So if you get around to carbs please forward your info to me. It would be greatly appreciated.

Did you ever get any more info on stock jet sizes, and needles for the 650's? Also do you know where I can find out this info besides doing a carb teardown? I want to go one size larger. Thanks

Question # 1 on jet sizes always involves if the exhaust or air intake system has been deviated in any way from stock.

I've heard that simply changing to a K&N air filter in the regular airbox can upset things over a stock paper one.
